PacerAI ("Pacer", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

1. Who We Are

Pacer is an AI-powered running coaching platform. We are registered in Israel and can be reached at hello@pacerai.fit.

2. Data We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide our service:

Account information — your name and email address when you sign up
Garmin Connect data — with your explicit authorization, we access activity history, heart rate zones, VO₂max estimates, and training load from your Garmin Connect account
Goal information — race goals, target dates, and training preferences you provide
Usage data — how you interact with the Pacer platform (pages visited, features used)

3. How We Use Your Data

To generate personalized running training plans
To publish structured workouts to your Garmin Connect calendar
To adapt your plan week-to-week based on your biometric data
To communicate with you about your training and our service

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.

4. Garmin Connect Integration

Pacer integrates with Garmin Connect via official APIs. Before we access any of your Garmin data, we request your explicit consent through Garmin's OAuth authorization flow. You can revoke this access at any time from your Garmin Connect account settings under Connected Apps.

We access only the data necessary to generate your training plan. We do not store raw Garmin data beyond what is required to produce and update your plan.

5. Data Sharing

We share your data only in these limited circumstances:

Garmin Connect — to publish your workouts to your calendar (with your authorization)
Service providers — infrastructure and hosting providers who process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements
Legal requirements — if required by law or to protect rights and safety

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data
Object to or restrict processing of your data
Data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format

We use industry-standard security practices to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Pacer is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on our website. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
